Getting Stuck

One thing about me, is that everyday is an adventure. I left my six figure office job a little over a year ago to really focus on my business. Was I crazy for doing that? Probably. However, there is never a dull moment.. ever!

I always have a millions balls up in the air with Wildcatters, inventory, scheduling shows, growing my team and the list goes on.

I also have a million things going on in my personal life such as building a home, helping my husband with his businesses, trying to stay healthy and workout (I took a six month break on that one) and just making sure we can make it through each day without getting wound up about something.. (actually, I get wound up or fixed or obsessed with things everyday and can’t let it go.. my personality)

So being that my personality is very type A as well as obsessive or control freakish.. I’m about to tell you what happened to me yesterday which should be a lesson to me.

I mentioned that we are building a house somewhere down in Texas <—(did y’all see what I did just there lol). The house we are building is basically on a rocky cliff. There are tons of boulders at the bottom of the cliff. The house has temporary doors in place until we can put the new doors in. I have been “fixed”, or “obsessed” with trying to find the perfect furniture. So yesterday, I decided to go out to the house and measure some walls. I had my lil tape measurer with me and was all swinging it around. Anyways, I get out there and I noticed that there was a chain on the front door with a lock. I thought well that is weird and I don’t have the lock combination and my husband was playing golf so I knew he wouldn’t answer if I called. I then decided to walk around back because I knew they hadn’t put the doors in yet. I just needed to figure out a way to climb up the 10 ft wall of concrete  – by the way, I am only 4’11.

So I started gathering rocks and boards and piling them all up so that I could try to get a head start on climbing the concrete wall better.. I swear this is not a political post. I was wearing flip flops as usual and stepped on something sharp.. not sure what it was but regardless, I sliced my toe open and blood was everywhere but that didn’t stop me from trying to climb. I finally, FINALLY, made it. The ONLY two problems were, my rock pile that I made to stand on, fell and I noticed that they DID put the back doors on and they were locked!!!! I was STUCK!

I couldn’t get down off the back porch because I was 10 feet up in the air and I couldn’t get into the house because they had put locked doors at the back of the house earlier that day and my husband just didn’t mention that part.

I stayed on the porch for three hours until my husband could come rescue me. THREE! It was pitch black and my phone had died before he got out there. I saw flying insects, killed three spiders that were on their way to get me and I saw a few bats right before dark but yes, this really happened. My husband was dying laughing and video taping me sitting in a ball on the back porch.

This day was so much more fun than sitting in an office!!!

Spring Is In The Air!

I haven’t blogged within several months. I really don’t know how people find the time to keep up a consistent blog. I know it is good for marketing purposes but my gosh!

So let’s see,

in the past year, my husband and I have sold our house, we moved into a tiny rent house just to find out it was too tiny for all of our fur babies and ourselves, so we found another rent house and moved into that, just to move again here shortly when our home is finished being built.

We have been working on building our home and that is definitely a project. It is a hard project. Honestly, I don’t have the patience it takes to go over colors, and paint swatches and all that jazz. Which is probably why, I accidentally picked out the same color for the stucco, the trim and the roof and now the house is all one color..oops!

In the meantime, back at the farm,

Wildcatters has had a great year! We were able to set up at Holiday Ole, and the San Antonio Rodeo which were two goals! We have hired some pretty amazing reps, and we will be set up at Round Top this spring so looking forward to that!

I am constantly hiring amazing talent to come on board and help spread the Wildcatters Love!

What else is going on, oh-we added another fur baby two the family..actually two. We now have Junior the hospital cat and Bobbi the bunny. Junior was found in the bushes at Hill Crest Hospital in Waco when I went to visit my sweet Pappaw who was not doing well. Junior was with his stray momma and his sisters and brothers who were all wild..except for Junior. Junior came prancing out like he already knew he wanted me to take him. He must of been about three weeks old, but I stuffed him in my purse and now he has the best life ever!

Bobbi on the other hand, is a dwarf lion head rabbit. Someone was selling her in the parking lot of CVS for $25.00 so of course I had to buy her and take her home. She is really shy but loves all of the cats and even Bucky our yellow lab. She roams around the house as she pleases and is litter box trained. She is quite adorable.

That is it for now! Always stay tuned for more randomness

What coding?

Oh my goodness, what a week or should I say two weeks, its been.

It has been crazy busy around these parts of the woods lately. My hubby and I have been working on putting our home up for sale. With that comes, re-doing flower beds, fixing things up in the house, painting, power washing things the list goes on..

In between trying to get the house ready and just dealing with everyday noise, I feel like we have been running around like two chickens.

On a more consistent note, Wildcatters is growing everyday which I am so excited. I finally came to some sort of cross roads with my boutique. After thinking about it and prayer, I decided that it was time to hire some reps to join the WCB team.

This week, I have hired a total of five gals which they will each start on June 13. I have been in the process of looking high and low for a new POS system that could accommodate my needs and help me get better organized because anyone that has a boutique knows that things can start accumulating quick and before you know it, you can’t keep up with all of it.(tangled coat -hangers everywhere, plastic bags where the inventory came in, boxes, invoices, tape, you name it..EVERYWHERE). As far as organization and finding a new POS system, I decided to first start with my website. My good friend, Jason built me an awesome website back last summer (wow, its been a year already? Blows my mind) any who, I was using PayPal as my commerce -Don’t judge, I KNOW! Paypal, buttons, I mean, what was I thinking? I could only handle that for so long. I wanted to find a company that offered a structured e-commerce solution where I could integrate it into my already-existing website. I looked and looked and looked and even looked some more and NOTHING. I cannot tell you how many people told me, “oh you cannot do that because e-commerce sites are technically their own websites so you would have to start all over”. NO, this is NOT what I wanted to hear, I mean there had to be a solution out there somewhere, after all, this is 2016. I would google “e-commerce sites that integrate with existing websites” and a few companies would pop up that looked promising. I filled out all my info for one company just to find out that it was an Australian company with NO contact number on the site. I had to “open a ticket” if I had a question which is basically an email and wait for them to respond. By the time I would get an email from them, It would be 3 AM in the morning or something crazy like that so I finally had to say no thanks and keep looking. I was bound and determined to find a solution. That was when I turned into geek mode for like two hours and started reading up on some coding forums. That is where I found a company called They were the ones..the chosen ones! This company was everything I had ever hoped for and more..they offered answers and even better, they offered solutions to all of my inner challenges <—ok , sounds a little dramatic BUT that is basically how I felt. I was beyond excited. Y’all just don’t know how much research I conducted to find this piece of gold. So after signing up, I built or should I say I am in the process of building a strong e-commerce site to integrate with my already existing website. I sent over the coding to Jason and BOOM just like that, he had it up and running in no time not to mention, his creative side took over and he made my website site look even more kick-ass! This has been my focus for the past week. When I am focused on something, NOTHING else gets accomplished until I finish whatever project I am working on. I cannot wait to have my awesome reps start, and start using my website more.

That is really it y’all..nothing too cray cray this week. Stay tuned.

A Fresh Start

imageimageWildcatters has been on the road a lot lately. April has been a super busy month for us.

Shows, events and wine & trailer parties galore. With that being said, one of my challenges was setting everything up and taking everything down. This past week, I redesigned the inside of my trailer and utilized every inch or centimeter of space.

My awesome hubby built some sturdy cabinets, shelves and clothes racks for inside my trailer allowing everything to be more efficient. In the process , I am sure he was getting upset with me because I could see my vision of what I wanted the end product to look like and he was just on a different page. All in all, it turned out amazing and I couldn’t have done it without his help.

Other then that, it’s been a quiet weekend. I had a wine & trailer party on Saturday which turned out good and the weather was awesome! Looking forward to setting up some more home parties and trunk shows this week. That is about it. Hope everyone has  an awesome week!

Survived the weekend

This past weekend was awesome but long. We survived the weather at the Llano Crawfish Open with little to no problems.

It turned out to be a great turn out and we really enjoyed meeting with everyone! I also somehow managed to buy a baby bunny while I was there. I am such a sucker for animals. This poor rabbit has so many names because we cannot decide on one specific name. I just call her bunny and my husband calls her bebop. I would say her legal name is Rio Llano Bebop the Bunny. She is too cute and don’t be surprised if you see me rollin around with my mobile boutique and Bunny! Good thing we are building a bigger home for all of our critters! Two cats, two dogs, and now a rabbit- INSANE!

As far as Wildcatters Mobile Boutique goes, we have a ton of Home Parties coming up starting this weekend. We are getting in a lot of new arrivals so we are so excited! A lot is in the works for us. Can’t wait to share some exciting news for Wildcatters.

Hope everyone has a great week! Pictures of Bebop the bunny will be posted soon!

Rio Llano BeBop the Bunny

Welcome to my Blog! I will assure you that I know absolutely nothing about blogging and this is all new to me, so please, just bare with me.

To start,

I would like to talk a little bit about how Wildcatters came about and where we are headed. Wildcatters was established in October of 2014. We initially started online and have since transitioned into a mobile boutique that travels around the Texas Hill Country.

Yes, we have a trailer with a tiny store on the inside (sounds kinda cool and it is).

We roll around the Texas Hill Country and just south of San Antonio where we do home parties as well as events. We still have an online presence as well that is continuously growing. We like to keep busy, that is for sure!

We are normally working events on weekends and during the week, we focus on our online sales. We have huge things in the works for Wildcatters! A lot of big news is coming for all of our Wildcatters Fans and Customers (Whoop, Whoop)

As far as blogging goes, since I am new to this, I will try and blog about our different events and where we are going next and how that event turned out. This will keep everyone in the loop of what is going on and where we are headed. This coming weekend, we are headed to Llano, Texas (y’all know where that is?) There is a huge crawfish boil going on and lots of well known Texas country music artist will be present. I am looking forward to meeting lots of people, hanging out in my trailer, listening to good music and of  course, the crawfish (Just joking, i am not really a fan of crawfish- I know, I know! I think I’m like the only Texas girl that does not like crawfish….unless it is fried, baby!)

Ok, stay tuned and be sure to like us on our Facebook and instagram page!

Until next time..
